J. Bernard Lamarche
Alberta Land Surveyor
Principal
As principal owner of Lamarche Land Surveyors, Bernard received his ALS commission in 1981 after articling under Clayton Bruce, ALS. He then worked for Alberta Transportation for nearly 20 years. Bernard has managed several survey projects in all areas of the industry. Bernard started Lamarche Land Surveyors in 1995 with the goal of providing quality survey and excellent customer service to the City of Calgary and surrounding area. Lamarche Land Surveyors provides surveys in the areas of legal cadastral surveys, construction, topographic, and condominium surveys. One of his biggest accomplishments was completing all of the survey work for the “Hotel Le Germain”, across from the Calgary Tower, in downtown Calgary. Bernard has served on the ALSA council for 2 terms, chairing several regional meetings, and is actively involved in various community organizations. In his spare time, Bernard loves to hike, golf, and spend time with his family.
Wendy Lamarche
Office Manager
Wendy is a working partner of Lamarche Land Surveyors Ltd., and brings a wealth of experience working in the public domain. Along with her husband, Bernard, she has seen growth in the land survey industry of Alberta as it was evolved into a more global and user friendly operation. As the Office Manager, Wendy has developed an expertise in managing the front office and directing the overall day to day operation of the company. Since it’s inception over fifteen years ago, Lamarche Land Surveyors has grown into a significant contributor in the field of surveying. As the parents of two grown children, grandparents of 12 grandchildren… and counting… and foster parents for over 35 years, Wendy and Bernard value family life and have a strong commitment to serving others through their family, church, and community.
James Durant
Operations Manager
James Graduated in 2001 from the University of Calgary with a B.Sc. in Earth Science. Since then, he has earned is CBEPS certificate and is an ALSA Articling Pupil. James joined the Lamarche Team in the summer of 2010 as Operations Manager and is currently articling under Bernard Lamarche, ALS. James’ experience is broad, ranging from extensive field experience with both GPS and conventional surveys in areas of municipal legal survey, construction, high rise, topographic, and oil & gas. James also has several years’ office experience as a CST and PM. Major projects include “The Bow”, Keynote Building, Fish Creek Park Storm Pond Upgrade, Calgary Science Centre, Saddle Ridge Tri Services, and Cochrane Medical Centre. James is married to Jodi and has 3 children, Emma, Sara, and Jacob, all of which he adores. In his spare time (if he has any), he enjoys camping, travelling, snowboarding, and running.
Josh Warwick
Project Manager
Josh is completing his Bachelor in Geomatics Technology from BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology). He is an ALSA Articling Pupil under principal, Bernard Lamarche. Josh has over 5 year’s field experience as a Senior Party Chief, and has been a project manager with Lamarche Land Surveyors for over 2 years. Josh is married to wife Catherine, and has 2 children Finn and Charlie. In his spare time, Josh enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, skiing and woodworking.
Clint Maton – CST
Senior Party Chief
Clint joins the Lamarche team with a wealth of experience, skill, and knowledge. After graduating from high school in Saskatchewan, Clint started his survey career in 1997 when he worked as a legal surveyor in Saskatoon. He moved to Alberta in 2004 where he surveyed in the oil and gas industry doing well sites, access roads and pipelines. In 2008 he made his transition back to municipal and has spent the last four years doing a wide variety of construction, legal, topographical, and high-rise surveys. Clint is a CST (Certified Survey Technologist) as accredited by the ASSMT board. Clint has worked on many major projects but notables include Telus “Spark”” (The new Science Centre), West Leg of the Calgary LRT addition, Chinook Mall Expansion, Calgary Police Service – West Winds Location, and Mount Royal University Parkade. In his spare time, Clint enjoys spending time outdoors (especially playing golf), travelling, and watching movies on the big screen.
Greg Parkin
Senior Party Chief
Greg joint Lamarche in 1999 in the capacity of Party chief. Greg has over 15 years of experience in field surveys including residential, commercial, rural, subdivisions, real property reports, construction surveys, and topographic surveys. Greg is the “go-to” guy for all of our development permit surveys as well. His most memorable project was working on Le Germain, at high rise condo, hotel, and office building in downtown Calgary. It was the biggest and most challenging project he had have ever worked on. Greg is married to Shelley and has 3 children. In his spare time, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, reading, camping, photography, nature, and just generally being outdoors.
Alejandro (Alex) Caldera Jr.
Senior Party Chief
Alex has been working for Lamarche land surveyors for over 5 years as a survey party chief. Alex works on a variety of projects including RPR's, house stake outs, grading certificates, and property boundary surveys. Alex is taking classes part time at SAIT to further his education in the survey industry. Alex is happily married, and has 2 beautiful daughters that he loves spending time with.
Jason Wang
Draftsman
Jason came to Calgary in 2005 from Shanghai, China. In 1991, Jason graduated from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology as an IT Engineer. Jason joined Lamarche Land Surveyors in the summer of 2007 in the drafting and IT department. His role is to calculate and draft plans, as well as troubleshoot the office computer system. As a computer software super user, Jason also maintains the company network. His greatest accomplishment is using his software knowledge to build his new survey draftsman career. When not working, Jason enjoys swimming, hiking, and spending time with his wife and 2 sons.
Greg Moore
Survey Assistant
Greg graduated from high school in 2004 from Kanata Ontario. He moved to Alberta in 2007 where he started working in municipal and legal surveys. Greg is currently enrolled in the Geomatics Engineering Technician program at SAIT where he has completed his first year of studies. Greg has worked on many legal surveys including subdivision layout including the many phases of “Sunset Ridge”. Greg played competitive hockey and still enjoys playing recreationally, and enjoys skiing in the winter.
